The Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons is dedicated to the public's direct access to ophthalmic care. A non-profit organization, MSEPS member ophthalmologists are medical doctors specializing in the evaluation and treatment of the normal and abnormal eye.

Advocacy

MSEPS seeks to aid physicians who practice ophthalmology in their relations with patients, hospitals, medical institutions, governmental agencies and other groups related to the practice of ophthalmology. MSEPS represents ophthalmology in the MA State Legislature as well as at the MA Department of Health and all other state agencies.

Communication

MSEPS has striven to provide physicians with up-to-date information on economic, legislative, regulatory and practical issues pertaining to medical eye care in the state.

The mission of the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons is to serve the total visual health care needs of the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through public and professional education, membership services and legislative advocacy.

Who We Are

For fifty years, MSEPS has served to promote and enhance the practice of ophthalmology in a variety of ways, including:

Advocacy

MSEPS seeks to aid physicians who practice ophthalmology in their relations with patients, hospitals, medical institutions, governmental agencies and all other groups related to the practice of ophthalmology. MSEPS represents ophthalmology in the MA State Legislature as well as at the MA Department of Public Health and all other state regulatory agencies. MSEPS plans to continue its role as patient advocate and will fight vigorously to preserve the quality of medical eye care in the state.

Communication

MSEPS has striven to provide physicians with up-to-date information on economic, legislative, regulatory and practical issues pertaining to medical eye care in the state.

Education

MSEPS has sought to educate ophthalmologists and their staffs as to the recent changes in the critical area of coding, reimbursement and compliance as well as in all levels of practice and risk management.
